Yann took part in this vibrant folkloric celebration which was a brand new commission for the the International Dance Festival Birmingham (IDFB) 2010.
Carrying out a dual role for the production, Yann worked as Assistant Director to Arthur Pita and he was also the Costume Designer, designing and creating costumes for a group of 40 dancers and 10 musicians. The show formed a new dance company made up of a troupe of contemporary British dancers alongside Russian, Spanish, Indian and African folk dance groups, all moving to the turbo-folk Gypsy beats of the Birmigham band The Destroyers. The result was an exciting 30 minute stampede of wild rhythms, glorious costumes and pulsating movement.
